Creative Music Making Lessons, Small Group

Grab some friends and let’s make an opera!

What are Little Opera’s Creative Music Making Group Lessons?

They’re music lessons with a difference. Our 10-week programme will guide a small group of students through the creation of an original mini-opera.

Delivered to you and your friends in your home participants will be encouraged to:

  • Imagine: Let their imaginations run wild and create through an improvisational workshopping process

  • Collaborate: Express their own ideas, while also accepting the ideas of others through a process of co-creation

  • Develop skills: In voice, lyric writing, composition and graphic notation

These sessions offer your children an opportunity to realise their creative musical visions through our unique process of music-making. We say YES to children’s ideas!

With an emphasis on fun, we'll sing, experiment with percussion instruments, explore character, create lyrics and compose our very own pieces of music.

Musicianship is introduced and explored through song, movement, and hands-on games and activities inspired by Kodály, Dalcroze and Orff teaching methods.

Who are they for?

  • Ages 7-11

  • Groups of 2-4 children

How teaches them?
