Caitlin Fretwell Walsh

Caitlin trained in classical and contemporary dance at Laban Conservatoire, and is a movement director, choreographer, teacher and performer. She teaches movement at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music on the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 

Her movement and assistant director credits in opera include: L'incoronazione di Poppea (Hampstead Garden Opera), Owen Wingrave (British Youth Opera), Jette Parker Summer Performance (Royal Opera House), 8 Songs for a Mad King (Shadwell Opera), Simon Boccanegra (Fulham Opera), Mignon (New Sussex Opera), The Cunning Little Vixen (British Youth Opera), Le Nozze di Figaro, The Rake’s Progress and scenes (Royal Academy of Music) and Flight (Trinity). As performer: Der Rosenkavalier (Royal Opera House), Rusalka (Scottish Opera), Der Rosenkavalier and The Rape of Lucretia (Glyndebourne Festival Opera). 

Upcoming productions include Don Giovanni (Opera Holland Park) as choreographer, Die Dreigroschenoper (Royal Academy of Music) as choreographer and assistant director, and Salome (Royal Opera House) as assistant director.
